To provide publicity support to musician/composer Tim Janis for the world premier of “The Way of the Rain-Voices of Hope” benefit concert being staged at Carnegie Hall to honor Planet Earth. In addition to Tim Janis the event featured artist Sibylle Szaggars Redford, her husband actor/director Robert Redford, former Vice President Al Gore, and Pulitzer Prize-Winning author N. Scott Momaday. Choristers from five high schools sang together, accompanied by Chesapeake Youth Orchestra.
Craft appropriate press materials and formalize a master media list for distribution of those materials with the intent of drawing media interest and coverage. This would draw people to the Carnegie Hall premiere and provide financial support for both “The Way of the Rain” and Natural Resources Defense Council, two international nonprofit organizations that were recipients of all proceeds and are focused on caring for Planet Earth.
Based on media outreach, and telephone follow-ups, DeeterUSA was able to attract the attention of two national TV talk shows and local print media coverage for this event throughout the states of New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and southeastern Pennsylvania, reaching an estimated 10 million area residences.
